From January to December 2024, the cumulative national output of crude steel reached 1.005 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%, with a cumulative daily average of 2.7461 million tons; pig iron production totaled 852 million tons, down 2.3% year on year, with a cumulative daily average of 2.3272 million tons; and steel products output amounted to 1.4 billion tons, up 1.1% year on year, with a cumulative daily average of 3.8242 million tons.
In December 2024, key statistical steel enterprises produced 63.91 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%, with a daily average output of 2.0616 million tons, down 4.9% month on month; produced 58.07 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year decline of 0.1%, with a daily average output of 1.8731 million tons, down 5.2% month on month; and produced 65.15 million tons of steel products, up 1.2% year on year, with a daily average output of 2.1016 million tons, down 6.3% month on month.
From January to December 2024, key statistical steel enterprises cumulatively produced 826 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%, with a cumulative daily average of 2.2568 million tons; cumulative pig iron output reached 739 million tons, down 2.6% year on year, with a cumulative daily average of 2.0191 million tons; and cumulative steel products output totaled 823 million tons, a year-on-year decline of 1.3%, with a cumulative daily average of 2.2478 million tons.
